I was elated to see this picture on my Instagram Feeds yesterday morning. It made my day- the picture perfect family with newborn twins and daughter Nisha (isn’t she the naughtiest Pandora box). Here’s an official announcement from actress to confirm this Bollywood news–
God's Plan!! June 21st, 2017 was the day @dirrty99 and I found out that we might possible be having 3children within a short amount of time. We planned and tried to have a family and after so many years our family is now complete with Asher Singh Weber, Noah Singh Weber and Nisha Kaur Weber. Our boys were born a few weeks ago but were alive in our hearts and eyes for many years. God planned something so special for us and gave us a large family. We are both the proud parents of three beautiful children. Surprise everyone!
Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber announced the birth of two adorable sons through surrogacy, on 5th March 2018. Soon her social media profiles are flooded with wishes and blessings, but while purling over her profile, a thought sank down my spine that why celebrity parents are using surrogacy as a medium to carry their child. I realized surrogacy is quite gearing up within the realms of Entertainment industry, be it west or east- it’s as popular in India as in Hollywood.
Why Celebrity Parents Use surrogacy To Carry Children
Is it the fear of temporarily disrupting the perfect body- to which they are banking on, or is it the fertility issue. Whatever the case be these celebs are path-breaking examples in Indian society where the “myth of infertility” seeds up various another torturing vicious circle for women and men and ignites serious crimes.
Though celebrities are defiantly torching the importance of surrogacy to grow their families but then few of them are even promulgating single parenthood, this can be a cause to worry about. However, we thought it would be quite interesting to look back at all the Bollywood celebrities who extended their families through surrogacy. And here’s a sneak peek –
This became the biggest Bollywood news when Director Karan Johar announced the birth of two adorable kids in March 2017.
Karan becomes a single father of Roohi and Yash and in an interview to The Hindu, he said- “I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children, and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science.”
Shahrukh Khan & Gauri Khan
The couple already had two kids- Aryan & Suhana, when they planned for their third child via surrogacy. The fumes of which soon reaches to media houses & guess what an entire episode of rumors, speculation, and melodrama.
However, once Mr. Khan stepped out with Abram in his hand he cleared it all and says- “Our son is a surrogate baby and the entire process is bound by strict confidentiality. We would appeal to all, to allow us to cherish this private moment as a family. He was born prematurely by several months but has finally come home after spending a long time in hospital”.
Joining the league of Single father’s, Tusshar Kapoor chooses in-vitro fertilization & surrogacy to carry his baby boy- Laksshya Kapoor.
Laksshya Kapoor’s grandparents- Jitendra and Shobha Kapoor spoke to The Indian Express and said- “We could not be more excited to be grandparents to Laksshya, and are completely supportive of Tusshar’s decision. This is certainly a tremendous blessing and an exciting time in our lives. Tusshar is a wonderful son, and he has proven, with responsibility, independence, and kindness, that he will be a great father to Laksshya”.
In 2011, Bollywood’s Mr. perfect- Aamir Khan and his director wife Kiran Rao proudly announced the birth of their son –Azad Rao through surrogacy.
In an open letter to Times Of India, they wrote- “This baby is especially dear to us because he was born to us after a long wait and some difficulty. We were advised to have a baby through IVF-surrogacy, and we feel very grateful to the Almighty that all has gone well.”
Director Farah Khan, become a mother of triplets at the age of 43. In an interview with The Hindu, she proudly gave a statement-
“I am not an actress. I had babies at the age of 43 because sometimes you get so caught up, you are making your life, building your career and maybe you don’t want to get married. For me, to have IVF and someone guiding me like doctor Firuza Parikh, it was a godsend,”.
She was blessed with cute triplets– Diva and Anya and son Czar.
Director, producer, and actor- Sohail Khan and his wife Seema Sachdev Khan decided to go for their second baby, ten years after the birth of their first child.
The couple chooses surrogacy and becomes parents of Yohan Khan in 2011.
These celebrity parents are an epitome for showing paths for surrogacy and at the same time, they are spreading a message a change in technique doesn’t decrease the importance and significance of parenthood.
That’s all in latest Bollywood news, folks.
